Welcome to Society of the Bridgettine Sisters
Introduction
Society of the Bridgettine Sisters came into existence in the year
1984 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. Its an
inititive of the “Order of the Most Holy Saviour of St.Bridget” (
Bridgettine Sisters) with the aim of unifying the activities of the
Houses of the Religious Order which exist in Karnataka.
As the years went by the Society of the Bridgettine Sisters opened
new branches in Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Mumbai &
Kerala other than in Karnataka.
Our Vision
A tomorrow which promises equal benefits & better living to all
irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Our mission
♦ To promote education, mainly to vulnarable children, provide
books, study materials and support classes.
♦ Establish and run Schools, & play schools. Provision and
maintenance of Girls’ hostels.
♦ Establishing social centres to provide free training in
tailoring, handicrafts and embroidery to women and girls in
order to empower them to sustain themselves.
♦ Provide material help and psychological support to people
who are economically backward through periodical visits
and follow up.
